Le Bandit is a 6-reel, 5-row cluster pays slot starring Smokey, a masked raccoon bandit working a 1940s-cartoon Parisian back alley, with an Irish-luck layer of rainbows, clovers, and pots of gold stacked on top. Who makes Le Bandit, and when was it released? +
Le Bandit is made by Hacksaw Gaming, the Malta-based studio behind Wanted Dead or a Wild and Chaos Crew. It went on wide release on August 24, 2023 (some casino catalogs list an August 15 early-access sighting), and it launched what became Hacksaw's "Le" series of Smokey games. How does the Le Bandit grid work? +
Le Bandit has no win lines at all. It plays on a 6x5 grid with cluster pays: 5 or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically form a win. A winning cluster then triggers a Super Cascade, which removes every symbol of that type from the whole grid, not just the cluster members, and new symbols drop in. Every position that took part in a win becomes a Golden Square, and those squares activate when a Rainbow symbol lands on the same spin. The how to play guide walks through a full spin.

The default RTP is 96.34%, a 3.66% house edge over the long run. Casinos can also license reduced builds at 94.23%, 92.17%, or 88.36%, so check the in-game info screen wherever you play. There are three modes, keyed to scatter count. Luck of the Bandit (3 scatters) awards 8 spins. All That Glitters Is Gold (4 scatters) awards 12 spins. Treasure at the End of the Rainbow (5 scatters) awards 12 spins with a Rainbow guaranteed on every spin and Bronze coins removed from the pool. Why can't I buy the Treasure at the End of the Rainbow bonus? +
Hacksaw does not sell the 5-scatter mode. The buy menu tops out at All That Glitters Is Gold (250x), and Treasure at the End of the Rainbow can only be triggered naturally by landing 5 scatters on one spin. That keeps the best mode in the game, the one with a guaranteed Rainbow every spin, behind pure chance rather than a price tag. Why is the bonus buy menu missing at my casino? +
Regulation. In markets regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, bonus buy features are disabled by rule, so UK-facing builds of Le Bandit ship without the buy menu.
